A two-week long revelry highlighted by fairs, lucky rituals, cultural and live performances, and grand fireworks display is set to greet revelers at Lucky Chinatown. Highlighting the celebrations is the annual Chinese New Year Countdown to 2019 on Feb.4, with performances by I Belong to The Zoo, Janine Teñoso, Bret Jackson, This Band, James Reid and KZ Tandingan. Master Johnson Cua will also share his forecast for 2019 after the grand fireworks display at 12 midnight. Guests looking to attract luck for the coming year, can take part in the 8 Lucky Rituals or shop for lucky charms and other novelty items at the Prosperity Fair. They can also stop by the Meisic Street Food Market to enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine and other delicious street food. Shoppers also get up to 70% and other great deals at select stores and restaurants from Feb. 1 to 3 at the Lucky Sale or get a Lucky Ang Pao and bring home instant prizes for every P2,000 receipt purchase until Feb. 10.

Eastwood City

Over at Eastwood City, guests can shop for lucky charms, Chinese delicacies and other novelty items at the Lucky Fair from Feb. 1 to 8 at the Eastwood Mall Atrium. Celebrations reach fever pitch on Chinese New Year’s Day on Feb.5 with colorful cultural presentations and performances from 2PM onwards including the traditional Dragon and Lion Dance. Acrobats will also regale guests with a special performance at the Eastwood Mall Open Park, while a grand fireworks display will cap off the celebrations at 9PM.

Uptown Bonifacio

Uptown Bonifacio welcomes the Chinese New Year in style with colorful traditional Chinese performances and fantastic shopping and dining deals from Feb. 1 to 7. Chinese New Year celebrations on Feb. 5 kick off with the traditional Dragon and Lion Dance at 10AM, followed by a fun mascot meet and greet at 5PM at the mall atrium, and a grand fireworks display at 7PM. Dining guests, meanwhile, can have a delightful pig out and enjoy great dining deals on pork dishes at participating restaurants. Guests can also shop for cute pig-themed novelty items and lucky charms at the fair or find out what’s in store for them this 2019 at the Astrological Forecast display, open from Feb. 1 to 7.

Venice Grand Canal

Auspicious Chinese activities and performances will welcome guests at the country’s most romantic mall including a special meet and greet with the God of Wealth mascot on Feb. 3. Celebrations kick up a notch on Feb. 5, with the traditional Lion and Dragon Dance at 10AM, which will also go around McKinley Hill, Tuscany and McKinley West. Following at 3PM is a Tarot Card Reading activity, where guests can find out their fortune for the year 2019, and a grand fireworks display at 7PM.

Forbes Town

A one ‘Epig’ party filled with gastronomic surprises and cultural spectacles awaits revelers at Forbes Town from Feb. 1 to 8. Shoppers can explore a variety of lucky items and other Chinese novelties at the Park of Luck fair at Burgos Park from Feb. 1 to 3, while dining guests can enjoy a delicious selection of pork dishes and other mouthwatering Chinese cuisine at select establishments. They can also read on their own forecast for 2019 at the Astrological Forecast display. On Feb. 4, guests can witness a one-of-a-kind luminous Lion and Dragon Dance at Burgos Park at 6PM. Newport Mall is holding exciting and fun psychic activities to welcome the Chinese New Year at its Psychic Fest. From Feb. 4 to 9, guests can find out the exciting things in store for them this 2019 through various psychic activities at The Plaza including tarot card reading, palm reading, scrying and numerology.
