Eastwood City is making their township greener and happier with the launch of their environment-friendly initiative, Green Living.
It has always been a goal of the Megaworld-owned township development to positively impact the environment and encourage its residents and patrons to participate in green activities as part of their daily lives.
Thus, Eastwood City forged partnerships with various government units to take further steps in executing their objective of building a community of individuals working towards common healthy and green pursuits.
Under the Green Living campaign, Eastwood City is launching the Green Goods Market in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The fair will showcase organic products from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from DTI Rizal. The market will open to everyone from July 21 until July 24 at the Eastwood Mall Atrium.
Starting a home garden has incredible lifelong benefits. In hopes of encouraging more people to raise their own crops, Eastwood City has collaborated with the Department of Agriculture (DA), through its agency, the Agricultural Training Institute, to promote urban agriculture by setting up Seed-on-Wheels. The Seed-on-Wheels project will give residents free seeds and educational materials to motivate them to practice crop production and community gardening. Residents are welcome to drop by from July 21 to 22, also at the Eastwood Mall Atrium.
Eastwood City and the Department of Environment and National Resources, National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) are also making a joint effort to set the traveling Community PanTREE in motion. Through the mobile pantry, DENR-NCR will give away free seedlings of fruit-bearing trees and vegetables in the following Megaworld Lifestyle Malls: McKinley Hill on July 19 to 20; Eastwood Mall on July 21 to 22; and Arcovia City on July 29 and 30.
