Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ Safer And Happier Campaign Wins Top Awards At The Philippine Quill And Anvil Awards

Safer and Happier, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ campaign to ensure safe and responsible malling amid the pandemic, has received a total of five citations and has been recognized for its excellence in the fields of public relations and business communications by two of the country’s most prestigious award-giving bodies.

Safer and Happier bagged three of the 14 awards won by Megaworld Lifestyle Malls during the 18th Philippine Quill Awards presented by the International Association of Business Communicators-Philippines. The campaign received Excellence awards in the categories of Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication, Customer Relations and Media Relations.

Safer and Happier also garnered a Silver Anvil (Specialized PR Program – COVID – Related Programs with PR Tools) during the 56th Anvil Awards hosted by the Public Relations of the Philippines under the category, where Megaworld Lifestyle Malls bagged a total of 6 awards. 

Safer and Happier’s microsite, SaferAndHappierAtMegaworld.com, also received a Merit Award under the Quill Awards’ Communication for the Web category for providing mall-goers with comprehensive and up-to-date information on intensified safety and sanitation protocols, shopping innovations, mall schedules and customer-centric lifestyle content. 

Anchored on assurance, assistance and action, the Safer and Happier campaign makes use of technological innovations on safety and sanitation, retail marketing innovation, digitization and industry partnerships and collaborations to provide a safe and responsible malling experience. 

“We at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls remain committed to positioning our lifestyle malls as safe and convenient destinations for shopping, dining and essentials, while encouraging our customers to observe responsible mall-going practices,” said Graham M. Coates, head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls was also recognized for several innovative efforts for customers and communities amid the pandemic. 

The launch of the webinar series Museums Matter at the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art won an Excellence Award for Social Media Programs during the Quill Awards for positioning museums at the forefront of blended learning during the pandemic. The same program was a nominee for the Top Award for Communication Skills and Top Award for COVID Communications. 

Find your Faves, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ online campaign aimed at providing customers with real-time updates on their favorite stores and restaurants and helping businesses generate transactions, won a silver Anvil award under the Digital PR Program for Entrepreneurship/Job Generation/SME and a Quill Merit Award under Social Media Programs. 

Harvest to Goodness, an initiative in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and non-profit group Resto PH, won two Silver Anvils (PR Program: Directed at Specific Stakeholders and PR Tools: Exhibits and Special Events) for providing farmers, fisherfolks, and Filipino-owned restaurants with a venue to sell their products to the mall-going public. 

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls also won a Quill Merit Award for engaging customers through diverse social media content amid the quarantine.

Other programs and initiatives recognized by the two prestigious award-giving bodies in the Philippines are Megaworld Lifestyle Malls as the First and Pet-friendliest malls in the Philippines (Silver Anvil Award – PR Programs on a Sustained Basis – Consumer Welfare); Eastwood City Drive-Thru Pet Blessing (Silver Anvil Award – PR Tools: Exhibits and Special Events); Unleash Your Colors: A Pride Month Celebration at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls (Quill Merit Award – Customer Relations); Iloilo Business Park P2P Launch (Quill Excellence Award – Government Relations); Arcovia City in partnership with Pasig City – Paskotitap and the Magical Holiday Lights (Quill Merit Award – Government Relations); Dinagyang Festival 2020 at Festive Walk Mall (Quill Merit Award – Special and Experiential Events); Lucky Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration Microsite (Quill Merit Award – Communication for the Web); McKinley Hill’s 2019 Grand Christmas Parade (Quill Merit Award – Communication for the Web); and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Good Time Choir (Quill Merit Award – Audio/Visual).

Megaworld Corp. won a total of 13 Anvil Awards and 22 Quill Awards, and was nominated as the Top Company of the Year for the Philippine Quill Awards.
