The seventh Megaworld Lifestyle Malls movie exclusive features some of the biggest names in the movie industry.

War and love movies always strike at the heartstrings of the viewer, who are often left with a hanging feeling of “what comes next?” Infuse the two plots in one movie and you get an overwhelming feeling of solidarity, loss and recovery, and ultimately, redemption.

Set against the post chaotic German War in 1946, “The Aftermath” stars Rachael Morgan (Keira Knightley), who finds herself reunited with her husband, Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British colonel responsible for rebuilding Hamburg from the ruins. The plot thickens to grieving heights when the couple coexist with a German widower played by Alexander Skarsgård, together with his daughter.

“The Aftermath” is presented by Fox Searchlight / 20th Century Fox, the same studio that brought award-winning films such as “The Favourite”, “500 Days of Summer”, “Gifted” and “Little Miss Sunshine”. Catch the exclusive premiere on March 13 at the following cinemas at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls: Newport Cinemas, Eastwood Cinemas, Lucky Chinatown Cinemas, Uptown Cinemas, Southwoods Cinemas and Venice Cineplex. The movie will also be shown in Festive Walk Cinemas at Festive Walk Mall in Iloilo City. It has an approved MTRCB R-16 rating, with screening time of 1 hour and 52 minutes.

The movie features Keira Knightley’s second Megaworld movie exclusive, seven years after her debut Megaworld exclusive with the movie "Anna Karenina" in 2012. Knightley is an English actress who shot to fame with her portrayal of Elizabeth Swan in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series.

She will be joined by Jason Clarke, the Australian actor who starred in a couple of blockbuster movies such as, Zero Dark Thirty (2012) White House Down (2013), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), Terminator Genisys (2015), Everest (2015), as well as Alexander Skarsgård, a Swedish actor who shot to fame with his portrayal of the vampire Eric Northman through HBO’s well-loved series True Blood.
