KNOW YOUR NOODLES: Noodle Soup Dishes To Keep You Warm

Whether in the form of thin ramen noodles, fat udon noodles, or simple instant noodles - these noodle dishes are sure to offer a good, warm, and hearty meal perfect for the rainy season.

RAMEN

Ramen noodles are thin wheat noodles that are served ot, in a variety of broths. Some common broths include shio (salt) and shoyu (soy sauce) to tonkotsu (pork-bone) and miso. They are also topped with ingredients such as meat slices, bamboo shoots, nori sheets, and more.

SOBA

Soba noodles are made primarily (but not exclusively) of buckwheat (soba), which gives it a different, stronger flavor.

Mazesoba, a kind of soba dish, literally translated to mixed noodles. This "soupless" noodle dish consists of soba noodles, with toppings, a special sauce, and an egg yolk - which you can mix as the noodle dish's "soup".

UDON

Udon noodles are the most substantial of Japanese noodles, thick and chewy. Made from wheat flour, udon is served hot in the winter and cold in the summer.

RAMYEON

Ramyeon is often translated as "instant noodles", with one popular brands being Shin Ramyeon. However, korean restaurants offer more than just your typical instant noodles and powdered soup base. A popular korean ramyeon dish is the "Army stew", which got its name from soldiers using the scrounged or smuggled surplus foods from the U. S. army bases to add toppings for their regular instant ramyeon.

PHO

Pho is a popular Vietnamese dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat – usually beef, sometimes chicken. It's a light, warm, and humble dish that's delicoius and filling!
